Bushey Full Garden

This project was a full garden transformation, designed to completely rework both the structure and usability of the outdoor space. The original garden suffered from a significant slope, falling away towards one corner, which limited how the space could be used. One of the key criteria was to create a perfectly level lawn, providing a clean, functional and family-friendly garden layout.

To achieve this, we engineered and constructed retaining boundary walls, allowing the entire garden to be regraded onto one level. This not only improved drainage and usability but also created a strong, long-lasting foundation for the new landscape design.

All existing boundaries were upgraded with new close-board feather edge fencing, installed around the full perimeter of the property to enhance privacy, security and visual consistency throughout the garden.

A large porcelain patio was laid directly outside the house, creating a generous seating and entertaining area that seamlessly connects the home to the garden. The choice of porcelain provides a contemporary finish while remaining durable, low maintenance and slip-resistant.

For the children, we installed a sunken trampoline, which sits flush with the lawn. This is a much safer solution than traditional raised trampolines and allows the play area to blend discreetly into the overall garden design without disrupting sightlines or aesthetics.

Prior to laying the new lawn, we also installed a soakaway system beneath the lawn area to ensure effective drainage and long-term performance of the turf, particularly during heavy rainfall.

The result is a modern, practical and family-friendly garden that combines clean lines, structured levels and high-quality materials, delivering a space that can be enjoyed year-round by both adults and children.
