Aldenham Garden Project

This project involved a complete transformation of a standard new-build garden into a refined, contemporary outdoor living space designed for both style and practicality.

The existing paving was replaced with a carefully selected combination of cream porcelain slabs, complemented by contrasting black edging stones to define the layout and add a crisp, architectural finish. The porcelain paving provides a clean, modern aesthetic while offering durability and low maintenance — ideal for everyday living and entertaining.

A generous main patio was created directly outside the house to serve as the primary dining and entertaining area. To maximise enjoyment of the garden throughout the day, two subtly curved seating areas were introduced at the rear of the garden. These curved sections were strategically positioned to capture the changing path of the sun, allowing the client to move through the space and enjoy sunlight from morning through to evening.

Soft planting and lawn areas balance the hard landscaping, while discreet garden lighting enhances usability after dark and adds atmosphere to the space.

The result is a stylish, functional garden that feels far removed from its new-build origins — a versatile outdoor space designed to be enjoyed at any time of day, throughout the seasons.
